Our department was founded in 2002 with financial support from the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and initiated its activities in BSc and MSc programs. We have students in five majors, including Reservoir Engineering, Production Engineering, Exploration engineering, Drilling and Petroleum equipment engineering. We currently have 11 fulltime professors and several visiting professors from the industry. Our department is recognized for a good relationship with the petroleum industry, and several joint projects were conducted by our department. The Faculty of Petroleum Engineering at AUT is one of the complete petroleum engineering complexes in Iran.
